The Department of Health has announced extensions to the terms of appointment of four Non-Executive Members of the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC).
Mrs Brenda Maitland's appointment as a Non-Executive Lay Member was extended from 1 October 2022 and ended on 31 December 2022. Mrs Catherine McPhillips appointment as a Non-Executive Registrant Member was extended on 3 November 2022 and will end on a date not later than 2 February 2023. Ms Anne O' Reilly's appointment as a Non-Executive Stakeholder Member was extended on 1 December 2022 and will end on a date not later than 28 February 2023. Mr Lee Wilson's appointment as a Non-Executive Lay Member was extended on 1 September 2022 and ended on 30 November 2022.
The Non-Executive Member positions attract an annual remuneration o Pound 6,979 with a time commitment of 2 days per month.
These extensions to the appointments are made in accordance with the Code of Practice issued by the Commissioner for Public Appointments for Northern Ireland.
NISCC is a public body established by the Department of Health to support high quality standards of social work and social care. It regulates workforce standards and promotes continuous training and learning. The NISCC Board currently comprises the Chair, and 12 other Non-Executive Members.
